Is it time to let go of the old traditions you once loved and thought always crucial? Well, no one's forcing you.

The new Broadway revival of Les Miserables opened yesterday -- and I still haven't seen it, so this isn't going to be about that.
I know I'm not alone in saying that Les Mis was probably the first real grown-up musical I ever fell in love with. I know a lot of people feel protective over it for that reason. And I know a whole lot more people are just kind of sick of revivals in general. But back in December, I overheard an audience member at another show talking about the upcoming revival and it's stuck with me since then, so let's talk about it way too much later so maybe someone who's actually seen it since can weigh in and tell me I'm wrong if they feel like it.
Spoilers after the cut, but I mean if you're still capable of being spoiled for Les Mis it's like why are you even reading this, right?
(Because I love you. That's why.)
